Q Acoustics 7000S subwoofer can be purchased separately or as part of a multi-channel set of designer acoustics. Apparently, it is the latter circumstance that dictated such an unusual design, in which the driver and terminals for connecting cables are hidden behind a decorative shield. Moreover, for better integration into the interior, a wall mount is provided (the bracket is offered as an option).

On the technical side, the subwoofer is no less interesting. The driver with a 250-mm long-stroke diffuser works with a high-class amplification section that produces up to 300 watts of power, which makes it possible to sound a room of a very decent area.

Operational controls are placed on the upper plane, but they are not too noticeable. As for controls, there are not only the cutoff frequency and volume level, but also a very useful phase inversion function, which allows you to precisely match the subwoofer with the main speakers.

The sound of Q Acoustics 7000S is primarily attracted by its high intelligibility of bass parts and excellent speed. There is no problem in reproducing different by nature phonograms - subwoofer worked out all proposed test material accurately and dynamically to the max. Nevertheless, there were some limitations. At high volume, small body sounds are heard and light compression caused by the driver leaving the linear mode. Therefore, the subwoofer will show its best yet still in relatively small rooms, and for companions you should choose shelf monitors or standard designer satellites.
