Mirage LF-150 Subwoofer

LF-150 is the senior subwoofer toward to a new series, consisting of only two low-frequency devices (LF-100, LF-150). The flagship has AB-class amplifier, which is able to give short-term power of 600W - a fourfold reserve for any kind of troubles. Operational controls - level, band and phase inverter - are conveniently grouped in silver block on the facade of the body. There are only terminals and power button from behind. The signal goes on high-amplitude outputs without high-frequency filter correction. There are linear and crossover (X-over Bypass) inputs, magnetic shielding and protection device. An automatic shut-off (5 minutes) is provided. The sub has a record deep bass - lower border is 22 Hz (-10dB).

Even considering the company's traditions, we can say that LF-150 pleasantly surprised. The sub is the bearer of absolutely "brutal" combination of sound properties - depth and power of bass. Even in a large room weak points are quickly found (drumming noise of shelves and windows) and in particularly stern moments you all over feel the wave of acoustic impulse. It is hard to find worthy opponents among competitors of this price category. As a rule, some blurring of bass forms and the roughness of low-frequency content of music are perceived as a small fee for power. In 2.1 system the satisfactory result is achieved with floor speaker system (at minimal positions of all controls).
