System Audio SA520 Bookshelf speakers

The Chief Designer of System Audio is sure that the quality of conversion of electrical signal to sound wave is directly determined by the diffuser's speed of response, and in order to support the theory with practices he prefers mid-woofer drivers with maximally light movable system. That is why SA520 has a pair of small similar mid-woofers instead of one larger and heavier. The tweeter with fabric 25-mm dome is placed between them, i.e. by d'Appolito scheme. The body differs by narrowed proportions and high-quality textured ebony grain finish. On the rear panel there are threaded bushings for brackets, two pairs of terminals and the bass-reflex port. Due to such construction System Audio SA520 turned out to be really universal. The loudspeakers have sufficient power in order to work in stereo system or be the front of home theatre. Put the speaker on the side - you'll get a great central channel. Add SA520 with wall mountings and place them as rear loudspeakers.

The tweeters give very smooth, natural and rich with details sound. The opposite side of the reproduced range is bass and it is transferred openly, densely and without slightest strain and pleases by focused attack. Not many shelf speaker systems are able to realistically play double bass, but SA250 copes with it easily.

Well-expressed advantage of System Audio SA520 is the lack of sound tying to loudspeaker. The stage is focused, evenly built and has intense depth.

You will not find claims to midrange too. Vocal sounds lively and naturally, which indicates high harmonious resolution. Even at very low levels music flaws lively and colorfully - instead of background scattered sound you get a miniature three-dimensional concert. It's a curious effect.
