Musical Fidelity M3i Amplifier

During the development of a relatively affordable M3i all the experience gained at the development of older models came in handy to the specialists of Musical Fidelity. Herewith the bet was made on time-tested technical solutions. Separate feeding of preliminary and terminal sections through individual windings of toroidal transformer is implemented in the amplifier. Pre-amp's scheme is made in pure A class, while powerful cascades work already in more customary AB class. And the most interesting thing: peak value of output current can achieve impressive 25 Amps. This is truly that there won't be problems with driving of even the most "difficult" speaker system. The amp is equipped with six analog inputs, one of which (AUX 1) can be switched into HT mode for work in the system of home theatre.

Playback of the amplifier differs by increased dynamics, necessary aggression and amazing rhythmic elaboration. The device easily opens any musical genres, making accent on the liveliness of sound and rigorous workup of the smallest details. It confidently controls speaker system at any volume, keeping all the ranges on toes - from deep reverberating basses to crystal top. We also liked the transfer of MIDs - the sound in this area is maximally clear, rich by timbres and filled with smallest nuances. Space turns out to be well-balanced by scale and in terms of the separation of plans. There are no claims to the accuracy of positing of virtual images, as well as to their sizes.
