Cambridge Audio WS30 On-wall speakers

The model WS30 is designed for combined work with modern flat TVs so one of the main tasks of the developers was an achievement of compromise between minimal depth of acoustics and sound quality. For this purpose heads of branded construction were chosen, coupled between each other by a crossover of audiophile level. Bass driver with 115-mm diffuser made of wicker composite fiber has the phase-equalizing nozzle in the center. Inch tweeter with soft dome, neodymium magnet system and enhanced basket sounds upper range. The bass reflex port has the original profile, which reduces possible noise to a minimum, for getting flat frequency characteristic (with a glance to placing speakers near a wall).

As for the sound possibilities these wall systems can compete with traditional shelf acoustic. For the construction of such specific destination we can mention a confident dynamics and wide reproducible frequency range. The sound distinguishes by high detailing in middle and high range which only slightly falls at the bottom. Speaking about tonality, the loudspeakers are quite linear and aurally don't have rough gain flatness. Meanwhile it seemed that the most critical for hearing MF-plot is drawn a little clear than others. I will mention from barely noticeable defects only boomy play of bass, a bit losing the form at high volume. But here is an absolute order with the formation of large-scale sound picture.
