KEF Q9c Center Speaker

The center from Q-series looks very unusual and attractive, hypnotizing by its coaxial "spotlight". The center is installed on three supports. The height of the back one is adjustable - you can change angle of slope of the acoustic axis, directing it to the listener. Judging by the results of measurements, spatial uniformity of sound field of Q9C is quite high unlike other two-way centers with classical pair scheme of bass/midrange-drivers layout. The level of non-linear distortions is exceptionally low in the great part of the range. The advantage of the coaxial concept in this model is the fact that even without frontal support there is the feeling of space. A rare, so to say, focus of sound images is achieved here. Any sound is perceived to be clear and actors' dialogs are delicately reproduced. A lower part of the spectrum becomes a bit heavier at the increased volume and also the accuracy of the attack of percussion sounds.

It seems that dynamical potential and low-frequency possibilities of Q9C perfectly combine with analog resources of Q1, with which the center will compose a great front trio. Note that the British coaxial is, probably, one of the most musical.
