Focal-JMlab Chorus CC 700 S Center Speaker

Focal-JMlab traditionally uses in its speaker systems the branded TNC tweeter made of aluminum-magnesium alloy with an inverted dome. It is installed between two MF/LF-drivers, which are made by the Polyglass technology. This technology involves the coating of paper diffuser with microgranules of silicon. This provides high-quality low frequencies and also reduces distortions. Focal CC 700 S is made in the closed body, that's why the ports of bass-reflex are absent. On the back wall there is a pair of small spring terminals, connected by jumpers; bi-wiring is available. The nameplate with logo is glued on the top panel, so it will be well visible even if you remove a protective grill.

Sound. Focal CC 700 S very expressively draws musical (melodic) elements of sound pattern. In tonal sense the sound is neutral, the manner of articulation is natural. In voice timbres you feel depth and richness of hints. Lower register is very beautiful. Diction details of actors' dialogues are very distinct, but without annoying "disintegration" (slightly softened). Dynamical range is wide. Spatial image is very beautiful.
