Mission MS-DUO Subwoofer

Mission MS-DUO subwoofer is not distinguished by the proportions of the chassis or the overall design. Its feature is that the 10-inch driver can be directed forward or strengthen the bass due to the work "in floor." To do this, it is enough to rearrange the support legs on the corresponding face of the body. The solution is interesting.

The other design parameters of Mission MS-DUO are quite traditional: a bass-reflex, a 150-watt built-in amplifier and four finish colors of the case. For connection, there are both linear (input and output), and high-level connectors. The phase of the signal is changed by 0/180 degrees toggle switch.

We did not miss the opportunity to test the sub in both variants of driver orientation. If it is directed forward, the bass is not very deep, but the dynamics is more than worthy. There is a very slight delay in the attack, but structurally the bass is quite correct. The case practically does not give itself away, although sometimes there is a feeling of incomplete damping of the diffuser. On powerful low-frequency passages, a slight overload occurs, although for a subwoofer with such dimensions the result is more than impressive. You can notice some monotony when playing sharp percussion sounds, but not on ordinary music recordings that sound more than worthy.

In the lower position of the driver, the sound pressure noticeably increased, while the purity of the bass slightly decreased. The dynamics stays almost the same, but overall reproduction has become more fundamental.
