HECO Celan GT 322A SubwooferHECO Celan GT 322A subwoofer is one of the most massive among competitors - weighs about 37 kg. A 12-inch driver of its own production with a cellulose diffuser impregnated with a hardening compound is installed in a voluminous body with non-parallel sidewalls. The driver is equipped with a suspension with increased travel, cast aluminum chassis and a highly efficient magnetic system. On the rear wall of the subwoofer you can immediately see three ports of bass-reflexes, whose ports have an aerodynamic profile simulated on a computer stand. The driving force here is a powerful (up to 400 W in peak) pulse amplifier, which includes active correction schemes and soft limitation of the diffuser's path, thereby reducing the nonlinear distortions at high loudness. Due to the excellent macro dynamics the sub easily connects to any type of loudspeaker. In this case, the optimum tuning of the cutoff frequency is in the area of 90 Hz. HECO Celan GT 322A is able to reproduce the deepest bass, while it is worth to note the high energy of emission in the main band, giving the sound a powerful drive. Strong impression is produced by the transfer of individual shock sounds - the attack, then, is extremely accurate, and the after-sounds are almost not tightened. Some confusion in sound may occur when the phonogram has a powerful low-frequency component and polyphonic structures. In this case, the very edge of the bass line is played somewhat less definitely than desired. At higher volumes the nature of sound does not change much. |
