Compact monitors M1 are considered to be an elite device - the body is assembled of solid wood with a decent thickness and the front panel is covered with natural black leather. The drivers, used in these monitors, are very curious. High-frequency band is sounded by the branded ribbon tweeter of isodynamic type, which has linear response in wide band. Low-frequency driver is also of its own production. Its membrane is pressed of cellulose composite on Kevlar basis and in the center there is a bullet-shaped cap. Air port of the bass-reflex is placed on the back wall. Input terminals accept all types of connectors and allow the possibility of two-wire connection.

Swans M1 sound quite calmly and comfortable, with a soul and abundance of hints. You can listen to such sound for hours without getting tired.

Upon closer listening, a bit decreased detailing at HF, which creates the feeling of comfort, is noticeable. Bass capabilities are significantly limited, but the range, under the power of a small driver, is transferred very convincingly and accurately due to skillful elaboration of rhythmic base. And to extend the working range you can always add an active subwoofer. Swans M1 dissolves in the sound stage almost completely; however, the localization of images could be sharper.
