Castle Richmond 3 Bookshelf speakersCastle shows the classical English design most brightly. This is well seen in strict design of the body, differing by picturesque protective grill. Its form is the direct consequence of traditional proprietary placement of the tweeter: asymmetrically under mid/lf-driver. The tweeter's dome is made of soft polyamide and has the diameter of 19 mm. In 110-mm MF/LF driver there is the diffuser made of woven carbon fiber. Both drivers (designed by Castle) are strongly fixed on the front panel of the body, made of 15-mm MDF. Sound. Castle Richmond 3 can be attributed to the category of speaker systems with neat, "intelligent" sound. This model copes well with classical compositions. Instrumental timbres are natural and plastic. We liked the sensitivity to dynamical gradations. We'll note the neutrality in tonal area. Dynamically the model is very robust: even at significant volume increase there is no roiling of sound and violation of proportions of musical fabric. Loudspeakers expressively present melodic nature of music. At the transfer of long, passing sounds a light grain in midrange and high register is heard. Among the advantages of the model we should undoubtedly mention a perfect finish. |
