Pioneer VSX-D512 AV-receiver

The asymmetrically filled front panel of the Pioneer VSX-D512 receiver proved to be very functional - thanks to the contrasting inscriptions, the desired buttons are searched without difficulty. The installation algorithm is less successful: in the simplified version (Quick Setup) only approximate setting is possible, and the full version is too laborious (non-obvious designations are given to some options). The receiver is equipped with many useful adjustments: you can change the cutoff frequency between the sub and satellites (100, 150 or 200 Hz), use the LFE attenuator, consider the distance from the viewing position to the front and rear speakers, turn off the tone controls when listening to stereo recordings, reassign digital inputs, only listen to the recording made in Dual Mono mode. Among the DSP modes we will note Movie, Music and Expanded with the option to adjust the depth of the effect, as well as the ability to get a virtual rear center (for 6.1 tracks). A name of four characters can be assigned to each preset tuner, and if the FM reception is weak, you can move to mono mode. The remote control commands the DVD player from Pioneer. The division into working areas is implicit, the buttons are small and closely located, but there is direct access to volume control through channels. Here is a universal in all respects receiver with a theatrical tendency, designed to work with almost any loudspeakers.
