Atoll IN 100 SE Amplifier

The model is distinguished by a fully symmetrical circuit scheme and the developers paid a special attention to the supply system. Every amplification channel receives power from separate shielded tore of impressive size and overall capacity of the buffer capacitors is 30000 uF. Bipolar transistors are used in the preliminary section, back end cascades are fully assembled on MOSFET. A precision potentiometer by ALPS, which is considered to be one of the benchmark in high-qualitative audio, is used here for the volume control. Some features of consumer sense were found out during familiarity with the device. So, not only board of RIAA-corrector was included in the number of additional options, but also the remote control, which the model doesn't have in the kit.

The sound of Atoll is rich with overtones, different by tones and truly relaxed. As necessary, the amplifier shows both enviable temperament and striking sophistication, appearing especially at playing music of chamber forms. The French device differs by melodious middle, balanced high range and rhythmic elastic bass albeit not always energetic near lower boundary.

Atoll builds sound space quite carefully too. Imaginary images have correct sizes and some abstracted plans are confidently read in depth. The localization on the edges of panorama is slightly lowered but its accuracy in the middle is almost perfect.
