Kenwood KD-492F TurntableKenwood KD-492F is a fully automatic vinyl player. A plastic case, which different mechanics is mounted in, fills the main part of the player. Drive mechanism consists of a spindle and one-piece disc, made of aluminum alloy. Insulating gap for the plate is made of rubber. The rotation is carried out via belting. Driver and pickup system are installed without amortization. Tonearm does not provide the ability to manually set needle's pressure on a vinyl record. Autoskating is not provided too. The tonearm is equipped with T4P pickup of V-63 type, on which there is a logo of Audio Technica. The player's set includes wire, which after connection of the player to an amplifier (or receiver) of the same manufacturer provides the possibility of remote control. Mechanical sensors are mounted into the disc of KD-492F in order to determine the diameter of a vinyl record. The player is equipped with a full set of functions, quite enough to provide a handy control over the device. The mechanics of the player works noiseless and reliably. Manual control for lowering and lifting of the tonearm with a help of movable lever is carried out relatively softly too. The sound of this model is dynamical, spatial, but with distorted hissing sounds and slightly insufficient playing of low-frequency components. |
