Infinity Reference 11i Bookshelf speakersThe Infinity Reference 11i is a two-way bass reflex speaker system (the bass reflex port is located on the back of the speaker). Strict design without "architectural frills" sets you up for an attentive attitude to the essence - to the sound. A detailed acquaintance with the system, especially with the help of measuring instruments, justifies the highest expectations. The measured frequency response after a low-frequency resonant bump, typical for most speakers, is downright exemplary: making slight (± 2 dB) fluctuations strictly around the average value, it rushes somewhere to infinity. Note that the mentioned low rise is determined by the good performance of the phase inverter. The lower limit of the range can be determined slightly above 30 Hz, but definitely below 40 Hz. The sensitivity of the system is relatively high - 89 dB. Regarding the power supplied to the speakers, the instruction manual says something like this: you can turn the knobs until you hear high-frequency distortion, or until you find it too loud ... This is cool! The directional characteristic promises a normal stereo effect area and a good rendering of space when the speakers are located at a distance of 2-3 m from each other. Impedance specifications: speaker crossover frequency 2 kHz, bass reflex tuning frequency about 50 Hz, nominal input impedance 6 ohms, minimum 4 ohms. |
