The Revox Re: sound S active bass 03 is the smallest among the two active subwoofers of S-series. It is equipped with a 100-watt amplifier and a compact 180-mm long-throw driver, directed to the floor, due to which the return at the bottom of the reproducible range increases. With such a small volume of the case the subwoofer makes no pretense to super deep bass - the lower limit of the working band is 30 Hz. For this reason it is recommended to use it with compact satellites. Despite this, the designers directed their efforts to improve the quality of playing. For example, an original servo system is designed for this, which suppresses excess vibrations in the diffuser at maximum operating levels. To connect to an amplifier or a receiver, you can use both a stereo line-in and a special LFE for the low-frequency effects channel.

The Revox Re: sound S active bass 03 is really designed to work with small satellites, which are joined with a sufficiently wide bandwidth of the crossover. As expected, at volume increase the sound noticeably hardens, audible resonances begin to appear. The manner of sound can be described as delicate, striving for the most detailed presentation of musical material. In most cases the bass is accurate, well-formed, and clearly structured.
