MartinLogan Depth i Subwoofer

MartinLogan Depht i is slightly reduced in size version of the flagship Descent i, which embodies all the latest developments of the company. Three branded 8-inch long-stroke drivers, united in an array using TriLinear technology, are installed in the original by the layout closed body. Such a cunning layout of the drivers not only provides sound pressure comparable to the 15-inch driver, but also allows you to balance the thermal mode of the voice coils. The diffusers of all woofers are made of an aluminum alloy, characterized by high resistance to bending deformations with a minimum mass of the moving system. The built-in amplifier works in D class and at 350-watt nominal power in peak can give up to 900 watts.

The main playback controls are focused on the top panel and covered with a metal cover. To connect to the amplifier on the rear panel, RCA input and output connectors are installed, as well as a separate LFE connector for reproduction of low-frequency theatrical effects.

Obviously, MartinLogan Depth i subwoofer is designed to reproduce extremely low bass, so the best option for it is to work together with massive floor loudspeakers. Within a fairly narrow working band, the subwoofer does not have the slightest extraneous sounds, clearly performing its task at any volume level. Among its advantages there is the presence of infra-low register, which is felt literally by the whole body, and sufficient speed capabilities. The impact is confident, sharp, without noticeable tightening of the fronts.
