Chario Hercules Subwoofer

Chario Hercules has an impressive size and weight, which significantly distinguishes it among its competitors. This subwoofer is equipped with a 320-mm driver, directed to the floor and loaded on a bass-reflex to expand the operating range. The driver's diffuser has a cellulose base covered with a special damping compound that not only suppresses internal resonances, but also increases stiffness. The power of the built-in amplifier is not a record - 200 watts. Engineers of Chario worked hard to reduce the resonance of the body. It is made of thick MDF panels, and on the side faces there are solid natural wood plates.

Chario Hercules produces an extremely deep bass, but at the same time requires a meticulous installation and setup. In the course of experiments it became clear that the subwoofer works best with a maximally narrowed working band. In this case, its energy capabilities are simply amazing. However, there were also characteristic features: at careful listening you can identify a slight lack of control at the very bottom of the working band and lazy streak in the attack. It is for this reason that the subwoofer is recommended to be mounted on vibration-decoupling cones, which briefly increases the purity of the bass.
