Mission 792 Bookshelf speakers

Mission loudspeakers have always been distinguished by a special sophisticated design. The 79th series confirms this. The body turned out to be of a complex shape, with bent sidewalls and a convex top lid. The structure of the walls is multilayered with the use of three different composites with different density. This gives the structure additional rigidity and inertia. A streamlined front panel is made of thick, durable plastic. The tweeter is acoustically isolated from the main driver.

The tweeter's dome is made of very light and durable Viotex material. The neodymium magnet and magnetic coolant significantly increase the power and reliability. By careful selection of the structure of the material, bonding resins and molds the designers have achieved not only excellent rigidity from the diffuser but also effective suppression of internal resonances. The mid/low-driver uses kapton frame of a voice coil and a cast metal basket. To minimize the signal path, the crossover is mounted directly on the terminals. The bass reflex port and terminal for bi-wiring are located on the narrow rear wall.

Sound. Mission 792 sounded clear, convex and cool. The rhythm and expressiveness of the feed are very high. Power is transferred perfectly. The timbre accuracy could be higher. These loudspeakers are clearly involved in creating musical events. They do not stand aside. They are actors and they know how to capture your interest. They look at the world from the height of their position. They can do anything.

The bass a little bit upset. It had sufficient volume, but it was too relaxed and not well-defined. This somewhat destroys the strong and integral image of this proud English beauty. It seems that in any system Mission 792 will be the defining link, therefore you should seriously select the environment: everything will fly around them.
