Aegis series of Acoustic Energy is designed in a minimalistic English style. Classical black color drivers and warm wood grain finish will gently join in the typical interior. The body is made of 15-mm MDF and carefully fastened with internal struts. The edges of the front wall are rounded in order to reduce the diffraction of sound waves. The finish is made by vinyl film that is quite predictable, considering the price range, which this speaker system belongs to. However, modest design shouldn't mystify you, because the model's filling definitely deserves the attention.
Acoustic Energy Aegis Neo One is assembled by two-wire scheme in bass-reflex acoustic design. The optimized port is installed on the back wall. Pay attention on the fact that the model uses a ring tweeter, which has better characteristics than a dome. Usually such tweeters are installed in more expensive speaker systems. 130-mm MF/LF driver, inherited from the famous AE1 monitor, is also interesting. Lightweight and durable diffuser is made of the pressed aluminum alloy. Two powerful neodymium magnets are used in the magnetic system. Due to this the driver has an extended working frequency range with small distortions and aligns better with the tweeter. Standard spring terminals are used as the terminals.
