Canton GLE 430 Bookshelf speakers

The respected German manufacturer of speaker systems introduced a budget GLE line in the market several years ago. Despite of the budget price, the work on the series was very serious, with the involvement of modern developments. A lot of attention was paid to appearance too. On one hand, a firm metallic protective grill reliably protects the drivers and, on the other hand, does not hide them completely. The grill is tightly fastened to a special slot on the front panel. The tweeter has high efficiency and accuracy due to computer-optimized movable system and new geometry of the tweeter. The branded aluminum diffuser and the patented suspension are used in the construction of MF/LF-driver, allowing the driver to respond to signal quickly and linearly. The bass-reflex port is placed on the back wall. At the same place there is a pair of massy terminals in protective caps, designed for heavy-gage wire.

Brand voice is well recognizable in these inexpensive speaker systems. Low, middle and high frequencies are in a good balance. But, I can't say that there are no claims to them individually. Bass is solid, but sometimes enlarges and loses articulation. This happens at the turning frequency of bass-reflex. High frequencies sin by a little blurry attack, but the middle, on the contrary, looks very good. It is linear and not painted. Overall tonal balance of the system is close to ideal, dynamics, at the same time, is slightly smoothed. Timbres are realistic. Canton GLE 430 are friends with different music. Their main advantage is quite high degree of musical tolerance. They are always nearby and at the same time almost invisible. We highly recommend them to the general audience.
