High-amplitude inputs and outputs (screw terminals) are shorted in pairs.There are two line inputs plus an LFE input for a special signal from an AV receiver. The built-in amplifier produces up to 300 W in continuous mode at peak 460 - very good for the AV class. The weight of the device, of course, is considerable - the power transformer is hoo ... There is an automatic turn-on mode "on signal" and shutdown of the subwoofer after 15 minutes of its absence. The case is mounted on metal supports.
It is enough just to slightly touch the volume control to be convinced of the power of the "beast" under the hood and, as unnecessary, stop further advancement of the gain knob when setting up the sub for playing in combination with small satellites: a friendly, reliable, harmonious ensemble is formed. However, we note that if the low-frequency potential of the satellites allows, we must try to clean up the subwoofer band as much as possible - in order to achieve maximum bass clarity and clarity of the lower middle. In wideband mode, at very low volumes, the sound loses its footing, with an increase in the level, an emphasis appears in the upper part of the bass register. In the cinema, you can operate the volume level more freely. The sub does not dig very deep, but the relevance of low bass for real home conditions is a big question. PSW505 is a good dynamic theatrical device with a solid power reserve.
