KEF Q1 Bookshelf speakersHaving gathered the experience in the researches of the last times the British KEF strives to break away. The evidence of this is a new version of the branded coaxial Uni-Q technology. In particular, the material and profile of LF/MF-diffusor were modified; an interfacial horn for the tweeter has appeared. A compact "one" is the smallest in Q series. The sound of Q1 differs by amazingly clear graphics of details. The system meticulously, like engraver's needle, tracks the slightest nuances of music picture. The focus of created by Q1 image is just about one of the highest among the competitors. Speaker systems of the higher categories rarely can create such full and at the same time detailed and multifaceted image of the scenic space. And at the same time a small pair provides a wide frequency range - up to very deep (for compact speaker systems) basses. A bit excessive splendor of LF-content does not contradict the composure of sound image of the system. Macrodynamics is a bit limited - the transparency decreases at big music volume. Q series is, undoubtedly, a significant achievement of the British company. The system is absolutely universal and what is especially valuable, it beautifully plays any classics. |
